Sure, you have some nice and useful home furnishings dilly-dallying around the house, but do they create a positive emotion or make you forget about a bad day?

What you need is a shift in life, getting back to the good life, Jetsetty style. To take a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson – “Beauty without expression is boring.” So hang tight, we’re going to show you some next-level expressions that will turn your home into paradise.

Live Edge River Tables – Various Artists

Live edge wood has been a movement for some time now with artists, but because of its sustainability qualities, it is becoming even more popular.

Live wood refers to the natural edge of the wood under the bark after it is cut. Live edge wood keeps the original lines of the trunk along its edges, portraying the wood in its very naturalistic and raw state.

Most of the beautiful live edge river tables we see are from deadwood or trees fallen, so recycling plays here nicely.

Live edge furniture often incorporates gnarly wood such as alligator juniper, mesquite, and other salvaged wood that could not be used in conventional woodworking.

Some woodworkers leave the natural holes and cracks in the wood while other artists fill them in with resins. Epoxy resin is filled in the spaces between the wood creating a soothing river – a nice place to unwind with a cup of tea on a cold evening.

You don’t have to own one of the hottest properties on the block to own these one-of-a-kind tables. You’ll just need to find someone who specializes in this like on Etsy. See more of these beautiful tables.

The Hammock Bath – Splinter Works

Before we begin talking about this epic tub that’s drool-worthy, look in the mirror. Are you built like a box with square corners? Didn’t think so, yet we continue to climb into square tubs expecting Calgon to take us away.

If that’s the experience you’re looking for, then the Hammock Bath by Splinter Works is pure heaven.

Struck by the synergy between the shapes of two compelling symbols of relaxation, Splinter Works developed the ultimate vehicle for total escapism.

This bath has literally elevated the immersive comfort of soaking in a hot bath and combined it with the peaceful experience of kicking back in a hammock.

The tub is completely suspended from the walls and does not touch the floor. The genius engineering of this tub makes it as solid as any home furnishing you’ll find.

The bath is filled using a floor-standing tap and the wastewater is released through the base and then completely discarded through a floor drain positioned directly beneath the tub.

Black Stainless Steel Appliances – KitchenAid

Some may say black stainless steel appliances are a trend that may not withstand the test of time, but hey, my mom had a white refrigerator for decades, and it’s still practical and stylish.

For this article, we’re looking for some background subtlety with a commanding presence. Kind of like when you painted your nails black to make a bold statement.

Black stainless steel appliances

The appliances are not actually black. They are created from stainless steel and then coated in black oxide. Black oxide (also known as blackening) not only darkens stainless steel, but it also offers a bit of added protection.

When added to stainless steel, black oxide gives stainless steel a slightly darker shade, almost like a shadow. When added, again and again, the appliance begins to take on a glass-like black appearance.

This hue results from the stainless steel peaking through the black oxide. KitchenAid finishes the handles with their red 1919 metal plugs that give it class and elegance – we love this exquisite, artful detail on a home appliance.

KitchenAid was started in 1919 (thus the number on those handle caps) and if you feel like some kitchen nostalgia, they have a fun memory lane you can check out celebrating their last 100 years.

Courbé Duet LED Pendant – Hubbardton Forge

Hubbardton Forge is located in Vermont and is one of the country’s oldest and largest continuously operating commercial forges today. It all started with two guys, an old barn, and some borrowed tools.

Hubbardton Forge artisans handcraft each product, one at a time and their lighting designs create serenity anchored in steel. Therefore, the design and quality of their multitude of home furnishings are unsurpassed.

A fine example of this is the flowing steel tendrils of the Courbé Duet LED Pendant. Carefully crafted to embrace the curves of six exclusive Swarovski Strass Wave Cut crystals, it brings a sculptural touch with each dazzling curve.

For this duet version of the Courbé design, gently arched LED light guides are hidden within channels of steel providing both up and down light.

Another beautiful pendant that’ll make you feel relaxed is their Rain Star Pendant, which features 16 Swarovski Briolette crystals that are lit from within by new, patented LED technology.

Moon Jellyfish Aquariums

These brainless wonders are some of the most beautiful relaxing creatures to watch – and I’m not being sarcastic calling them brainless, they really have no brains!

Not a lot of anything else either being 95% water, but they’re incredibly poetic and relaxing to be around as they go about their gentle crawls along the currents.

Jellyfish

These jellyfish are so soothing to watch that the Wynn Macau Hotel in China installed an amazing wall of them behind the registration desk. Maybe checking in takes a while.

So how does one get started with a moon jellyfish aquarium? A good place to start learning about them is here. By the way, insiders affectionately call them “jellies.”

Moon-Jellyfish

Having pet jellyfish at home is easy to care for, just make sure you feed them daily and conduct a few simple water tests each week.

You will also change out some filters & some water and clean the interior of the tank but because they are mostly water, they are what they swim in, which means it’s important to keep the water clean. Here’s the rundown.

A little fun fact about these guys, did you know that moon jellyfish are actually meat eaters? Moon jellyfish love to eat mollusks and plankton, but also fish eggs and shrimp.

They have large stomachs and will eat whenever they find something floating by. Just don’t try to float a cheeseburger by- remember, we want to keep the tank clean!

Check them out here!
