Alamo Drafthouse Cinema located in Downtown Los Angeles is another one of our top luxury movie theaters in Los Angeles. This dine-in theater offers a unique experience with its comfortable seats and great food and drink options.
There’s nothing worse than rushing through a meal to find parking and catch a show. Best to coral everything into one spot, and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema does this nicely.
Going full Monty upscale (yes, we just coined a phrase) you can get gourmet dinners served directly to your seat. They have a full, multi-course menu where every meal is prepared from scratch. Along with hand-crafted cocktails and craft beers, this is definitely a bespoke cinematic experience.
If you’re an aficionado of the classics, this is a great place to be. They also have a crack projection team trained in handling classic films that are only available on celluloid. Old school all the way.
That’s why most Alamo Drafthouse locations are fitted with at least one 35mm projector, and several even have widescreen 70mm equipment, the preferred format for visionary filmmakers like Christopher Nolan and Paul Thomas Anderson.

Here you’ll be provided with state-of-the-art wireless headphones and they even have blankets to keep you warm and cozy on that 4th-floor rooftop. They sell these branded blankets so you can take the coziness home with you.
They offer tickets for two different types of deckchairs – a single Lounge Seat for one or a wide-width Love Seat for two. Since you’re right in downtown LA, you won’t be short of great bites to eat.
Recommendations are Birdies, Pizza Sociale, and of course, Tacos El Comelon which is a popular taco truck right next to this top theater in Los Angeles. Taco trucks are a crowded field in LA, so being popular says a lot! Los Angeles also has its share of speakeasies in the area if you’re in the mood for another adventure.
